Renouncing affluence for a life with meaning, with guest speaker from Thailand Korakot Chaovavanich

After his master’s degree in A.I. at Cambridge, with an esteemed and affluent life ahead, Korakot renounced his worldly opportunities and high-tech lifestyle. Instead, he spent 10 years as a Buddhist monk in LP Pramote’s forest monastery, studying how to transcend the world. We will learn and ask questions about what it was like to be a young monk with little access to the outside and why it is so vitally important to develop our minds.
